How do I know the oven is actually running cold and not just baking slowly?
Put an independent thermometer on the middle rack, let the oven soak for forty-five minutes after it says it is up to temperature, then read it. A drift of more than about 25°F is a fault; less than that and altitude is doing most of the work.
My steam oven throws a fill fault. Water or valve?
Usually scale from Denver water, in the generator and the intake valve both. It is a descale, sometimes a valve, and worth putting the descale cycle in the calendar afterwards.
The door will not release and the latch motor keeps buzzing.
Do not force it. A buzzing latch motor is either jammed on a cam or the motor is failing with the cavity still hot. It can be freed on the visit and the motor replaced without pulling the oven out of the cabinetry.
